THE ARTIST'S SACRIFICE: A VISION FOR CHRISTIAN WELLNESS IN AN AGE OF UNCERTAINTY

Sermon

Neel Upadhye

Our industry is in a time of upheaval. Thousands of developers are either striving to find work, or find meaning in it, aiming to integrate their professional lives and Christian faith. Artists throughout history have wrestled with the relationship between work and witness and how one’s vocation can bring Christ glory. Through Romans 12:1-2, we'll examine our calling as Christians, seek God's wisdom in navigating moral compromise and find the joy in following Christ, no matter the cost.

AI & THE IMAGO DEI: FAITHFUL CREATIVITY

Panel Discussion

Lara Samms

Chris Hood

Joy Guey

Matt Colón

As AI becomes a daily tool for filmmakers and creatives, the question is no longer if we use it—but how and why. This panel explores the practical use of AI through the lens of ethics and theology, from governance to the deeper questions of how these tools may be shaping our dependence and creative decisions. Lara Samms, Chris Hood, Joy Guey, and Matt Colón will examine how AI is already influencing creative workflows, and how the Christian stays faithful to truth, stewards creativity, and remains accountable in the secular race towards transhumanism.

IDENTITY IN CHRIST: THE ULTIMATE AVATAR

Panel Discussion

Chris Skaggs

Donald Barrett

Aaron Craft

Joanne Cheng

As game creators we are always in the business of making images that can become idols - including the images we make of ourselves. And yet our most significant identity is not as developers, designers, programmers, artists, or any other title that goes in the credits. WE ARE MUCH MORE. We are citizens of God’s kingdom. We are members of God’s household. We are sons and daughters of a loving Father. We are immortal. Join Chris Skaggs, Donald Barrett, Aaron Craft, and Joanne Cheng for this panel discussion on how we can resist the norm of defining ourselves by our career, and live for our identity as God’s Avatars instead.

We'll explore what it means to be both a "light" that points others to Christ and "salt" that preserves integrity, compassion, and truth in the game industry. Whether you're a new believer or have walked with Christ for years, you'll leave with encouragement and practical ideas for reflecting Christ throughout your career journey. Bring your questions, let's grow together, and have some fun! Facilitated by Michael Carter with Neil Uchitel, Martin Montgomery, Tom Bible, and Jonathan Landis.
